Pretty sure Mimi-Chan was also taken wholesame from some anime he watched back then, but yeah he used to just trace and steal other pplìs software back then. It was so funny how he went on and on about how he's not an Indie dev but a Doujin producer during the Palword fiasco on Twitter, as if that means anything lmao.

I don't dislike the characters, the thing is that many of the old designs were just ripped straight from other Manga/Animes ZUN happened to like at the time. The series took quite a few years before finding an actual identity.

I thought Rin Satsuki wasn't real though, as in, that one character most people associate with her, it's actually not her, or something like that. Idrc about Mimi-chan personally, and I have issues with most of the characters pre-perfect cherry blossom.
