YouTube is a sinking ship
Well, this video was inevitable. I've never seen mass misery on that site, but it proves me right time and again. YouTube is no longer a fun place to establish a fanbase. It's why VidLii users of the past have got to return.

COPPA Was The Iceberg & YouTube Was The Ship.
I made the right choice to finnally abandon Youtube back in 2019,and dodged so many red flags on that sinking ship,because i was finnally fed up with all the degeneracy,Censorship,Insufferable Grifters Replacing honest Movie Reviewers/Game Reviewers,and overall,just brain dead idiots just taking over the site,which theres no entertainment (Or any lack of quality Decent Content) on there anymore,the days of the "Golden age Era of Youtube of Commentators and Funny Game Reviewers" are officially over,and with the algorithim so corrupted and fucked up now,I don't blame many of my friends for also quitting,because its Useless/Pointless to try to grow a platform on that site anymore which you have to abide to these new rediculous rules or risk getting your channel De-Monitized,this is exactly why i moved to RUmBle,Vidlii,Went back to bitchute,Moved to Twitch TV and recently Moved to Internet archieve. I'll have much better getting my now out on those platforms than Youtube.

...yeah honestly? I wouldn't be surprised if YouTube CEOs were simply puppet CEOs. Like, I feel like there's been no change in direction since Susan left her position. It's possible she hired somebody with a very similar vision to herself but then again I think that often never ends up being the case when it does happen, plus she seemed to have a more decent past, at least to me. But also yeah the feeds are awful now. I sometimes use YT signed out if I don't want my recommended changed and my God some awful stuff appears on the feed. Alot of Right-Wing sensationalism, AI videos of celebrities / musicians, story videos, "Arrogant X tries Y, gets humbled by Z", shock jock comedians, alongside a helping of clickbait served Beast-style. The ads are terrible too. Streams are interrupted and even prog songs are if too long.

thing is i think the reason people still use youtube despite the issues is:
1. popularity. people want views and other content to watch
2. money. most other video sharing platforms besides like rumble dont have good ad revenue systems or none at all. and alot of people want money from making videos.
but i think for vidlii to get more videos because some people dont want to work a regular job while making vids on the side.
there could either be a membership system channels can make like patreon or
with vidliis idea to have a premium subscription for the site. vidlii partners could get a cut of that premium subscription money if they get a certain amount of views

@TheSpoilsofWrath well thing is. i think it would be a bad idea to try getting investors or ads on the site since they would wanna censor things to increase profit and not damage reputation

@SkibidiCoffee That's a good point and something I forgot about. Advertisers & investors would absolutely want to censor everything. That's why youtube management changed so much in the first place. It was a reaction to the adpocalypses.
That premium subscription thing doesn't sound too half bad of an idea though. Especially if it let's you upload longer videos or let's you upload any kind of banner/image/thumbnail without any dimensions or file size limits. THAT would be sick.

all they do is make up nothingburger drama and stretch it out to 20videos saying the same things over and over again for ad revenue.
in 2024 everyone made a big deal about a guy just making a joke song about hitler being his nigga (masteroogway) while doing nothing to stop actual unironic racists and white supremacy
and made a big deal about a fired employee (dogpack404) who made a hitpiece on mrbeast saying his videos are staged while ignoring the actual drama of kris tyson (friend of mrbeast) being a pedophile.

I used to run a Roblox troll YouTube channel. I baited kids into interacting with my videos by commenting on how much their favorite thing sucks. Among the comments of enraged kids, I happened to stumble upon one that looks to be under 13, hosting, I kid you not, Roblox poop porn. This is the type of content you'll typically see on a lesser-known adult site, now on some kid's YouTube channel alongside innocent Minecraft gameplay!

If YT does shut down then where will the big YouTubers go, I don't want them coming to VidLii and then VidLii becomes mainstream.

@StarBomberRevice2021 yah couple a streams ago, jim said he was turning a corner on his health problems he thinks and he said his doctors might think they know what's wrong with him n stuff.
i genuinely hate youtube. i cant even watch a video without 10 ads in my face
@ww5z thats why Vidlii is getting much better and improving,because you don't get Interuptions of Ads every 5 God damn mins (or 10,depending the Ad-Revenew), Vidbit Future had potential,but sadly that site shutted down from its shortlived life span because of the glitches/Bugs and slowdowns and over problems it was having. One feature that Vidlii needs that'll make it perfect is to "Add HD Features" and increase the upload time to being able to upload "Hour Long Videos" like Rumble does,the only thing I hate on rumble is that its filled with SJW/Politics obsessed Douchebags,but other than that,I pefer Rumble much better than Youtube.
