i appreciate the insight you have in this video. i feel much the same - at least in some ways. there's a big part of me that wants to return to the days when i didn't have ppl who depended on me or my own life to manage. being a kid may suck but life was curated for you and everything had a sense of novelty and wonder. nostalgic websites can sometimes give you a sensation of it but it's always what you choose to remember.

thx for taking the time to make this video for my website and for everyone on here. i'm close in age to you and i run this site as my hobby outside of work and family. i relate to how you feel about doing art and still feeling like the same kid as you were growing up. if you keep going toward goals and passions you can keep part of the interest and drive you had making you do what you enjoyed as a kid. for me that's running websites and forums and seeing ppl enjoy things that i have a part of makes me still enjoy it.

Whoa, a new milkdrinker video! Such a pleasant surprise :)
Your words resonate with me, and I do feel like many of us are forever chasing that rosy childhood we (may or may not) have had... Nostalgia is a helluva drug, but you can still use your past as inspiration for your future. Make the videos/films that you've always wanted to watch, write about your favorite video games, find people with similar hobbies, and grow from there. You're still young and you have a lot of time "left" (I dislike this phrasing). Take the time to become the person that you wanted to be as a child.

we all go through some deep stories @milkdrinker. seven years ago was different. I was struggling with my identity after losing my dad. I lost my entire family and my twin brother is the only one I had. I also want to go back to my childhood after losing everything. one reason I took off of vidlii, some ppl may not know but this recent wrestler name oba femi is tough. reminded me of my older brother who was practically a hero in my eyes. I been through some dramas in the past, even with atandreithomas who oba femi reminded me of. seeing community came back and seeing him came back, I develop internal grief so I stepped away. the reason why no one seen my uploads recently

I didn't expect to see this. As far as drug use goes, seeing your friends dying from it sucks and that's one of the best ways to sober up, I'd imagine. I just don't touch them, keeping your mind sharp is one of the most important things you can do.

I personally still use sites like this because creating videos is a fun pastime that keeps you sharp. I don't do it as much as I'd like because work and projects consume my life these days, but I'd never disregard a site like this just because it's not serious business.

I remember you mentioning you worked in actual journalism, how well does that pay?

Interesting video.

@SkibidiCoffee I doubt it. I am currently working on some short films to bring to the film festival circuit, but it wouldn't feel right to charge people for that kind of stuff.

@shingo
I'd never disregard a site like this just because it's not serious business.
I miss when internet users just made videos (or media in general) purely for fun. Not everything need to be serious and profitable, it's okay to enjoy making stuff without expecting something in return.

Creating media for myself has been extremely fulfilling, I'd argue even more so now as an adult than back when I was a child. Because despite my job and responsibilities, I still manage to create stuff and enjoy it, and that makes the process all the more valuable.

This made me cry, seeing that some people died trying to pursue their dream without finishing their legacy is kinda sad, its good to see you living a great life, i had a rough past and you did too, you are an inspiring symbol, i will never forget your impact on this platform.

you are one, the only one, the person that i hope to become.

i hope i will become the person i want to be.
