CLAMP sorta went into a downfall of their own doing in the 2000s when they tried to copy "Kingdom Hearts" with their "Tsubasa Chronicle" and "xxxHolic" manga and anime series. Things got sour for the group when they initially planned to kill off Sakura and Syaoran (of "Cardcaptor Sakura") before fan backlash made them change their minds afterwards...

There's actually a remake of "Magic Knight Rayearth" coming out later this year.
I wonder if it'll follow the manga more closely this time around.
The second season of the 1990s version was an original story and not canon to the original manga. And the less said of the "Rayearth" OVA, the better... -w-

"starting today it's my turn" is a really funny OVA about these high schoolers who take on a bunch of gangsters by just being incredibly stupid. also it has a gay dog in it
